Hello !
After a few days in Constanta, i went back on the road south in direction to Bulgaria.
The direct road had some portions going along the sea, that i took : Venus, Jupiter cities... nice, but empty at this time of year !
After Mangalia and a stop to eat and and spend a few more Lei before leaving the country, i crossed the border in Varma Veche, with 1 single check as on the other borders between Romania and Bulgaria.
Then i rode along the coast, first a bit away from the sea, then really along the sea after Sabla. I found a perfect place to camp, with maybe 5 C in the night but no rain and just a light wind. In the morning as the sun was shining and i was ready to leave, i saw a sign mentionning that camping was forbidden... tooooo bad !
Saterday 14th was also a sunny day, and i had a nice ride to Varna. Of course my bike had some problems... since i changed the chain, the speeds did not change correctly... but this is because they are used (i just learned it today from Nico in Varna's bike shop!).
On the way i went to the coast at least once, 2 km away from Sveti Nicola, where i could see some cliffs, and where i did not go down to taste the water !
Then, getting closer to Varna, i missed the sea road and took the inland one through Kiuevo, and up hill, but giving a nice view over the cliffs and the sea.
In Varna i found Boris' working place easyly, then i met Sylvia down their flat and after a few hours we went out for diner with friends of Boris from high school, at a NEMO restorant, with fish (i only took a fish soup, but it was great!).
Sunday got cloudy and rainy, but we went to a CS meeting for paintball, where i just took pictures! Then we went to the forest to take some ground for Sylvia's flowers, and visited an monastere in the rocks around. As it was still ligh around and we were all happy to, we then went to a 'petrified forest' place 18km away from Varna on the direction to Sofia, by car of course. Really amayzing place !
Back home we had diner with some other friends from S&B, and i ate some heart and leaver of goat... which was tasty ! With a special spice they use here, salvage mint.
Today monday i went to Nico's bike shop and asked for fixing my speads that were not passing correctly, then heard about this use of my back speads...
I also asked for fitting click fix pedals, changing the back brakes, and i baught some sandals with click fix system! 150 Lev... I am poor again, and also learned that my front fork has to be changed ! Do you remember this accident in Romania on the rainy day ? It seems like it did some harm to the bike, but i only notice it now! So i will have to go around the train station in Istanbul and ask for the replacement of this piece.
After giving my bike fore repair and upgrade, i went around town and saw the cathedrale, the beach and the ruins of the Roman Therms, and came back.
Tomorrow, back on the road, with 1 night camping again, and then i'll be around Burgas. The forecast seems to be ok... i hope so ! You can have a look at this link to support or envy me !
