Cold in the face !

New report, from Galati, Romania... place where the Danube river, on my map, has a loss of km...

At some point the map says 150km to the delta, then just a few km after it says 80km to the delta... a Mulder and Scully case...

So i arrived here this morning after a stop in Braila, at a European Volunteers flat. A nice evening with German, Latvia and Georgia mix, and France too of course.

To arrive there from Calarati, i had first ridden 42 km in the light rain and cold and WIND, then stopped and tried to hich hike with the bike, which worked ! A 92 km ride in a Hyundai car on a leasing contract with and air controler for the army who had visited Paris in the summer. Just nice.

And before this, in Calarati, i had had a rest day with a bit of fixing the brakes on my bike, and walking around the city which is not so beautiful in winter time... I also had a few internet searches including some Hospitality Club messages to maybe find a host in Tulcea, the town from which the boats to the Delta go from. My host family there was with Tino, a business man fan of Sarkosy but who likes to open his house to guests, and is listening to people like me with different ideas and point of view.

Here today in Gaslati I met with Dana and Train, and will enjoy the city life in the next few days, and maybe more.... to be continued !
