Today I tried the Lithuanian railways. They are a bit expensive... as the cost of life in general here.
For someone with Euros of course it is not so expensive, but for people living in the country... it is quite expensive.
I try to compare prices with the minimum saleries and renting of flats in general.
Here you should have 800 LT as a minimum salery, 700 LT for a 1 room plus 1 kitchen flat in the center of vilnius, and 2 LT for 500g of bread, 3 LT for a bear... 6 LT for 28 km of train... not so cheep.
So the train was just to go out of Vilnius and go to Trakai where I already spent few hours last friday.
Then I took the destination of Kaunas without taking the motorway but with taking 1 European road and 1 local one. Both quite OK with trafic.
The day went OK with the weather, but just at the end, when i has the meeting with my host, it started to rain and we arrived home soaked wet, but ready for a shower and some pasta.

salut sami!! je suis toujours ton periple, je me disais que mon dernier "coucou" commencait à dater... je vois que tu vas bien, tu as l'air d'en profiter, et surtout de deconnecter de ta vie parisienne!! avec xavier, on est allés chez mes parents le week end dernier, grosse fête pour les 60 ans de mon pere. Marie s'est fait remarquer, elle a trouvé le moyen de se faire operer de l'appendicite vendredi soir! tout s'est bien passé, elle est en convalescence chez mes parents, et etait quand meme là pour feter l'anniv de notre papa. bizz et a bientot!
