After Santa Claus' city's night...

Last wednersday, i had plenty of time to visit Vaasa... so i took my bike.
I went to the old town, 7 km away from the new center.
There, are the ruines of an old church and school, and right behind the train line...
There is not much to see but it was nice to go there and enjoy the sunny weather.
On the way back i went to the island where the university is, and baught some things to prepair crepes or 'like crepes', which i did back home. We ate some with Paavo and Marianne then went to the beach...
It was summer ;) maybe, so we could even go swimming !

Back home i could prepair my signs (one for Oulu and Kokkola, one for Rovaniemi) for hichhiking next day, and prepair my bag with what i take and what i leave at P. and M.'s place, after the Simpson episone of course !

Thursday morning started my first HHking experience.
I went on the road to Oulu, after the Prisma market center, and stood there at around 9h45.
I did not check exactly but at 10h30 or so a car stopped to pick me up ! So great !
The driver, the chief of psichotherapists in the public hospital of Vassa, was going to her summer cottage after stopping in Rovaniemi, so i joined her up to there in one day.
We arrived at 5pm but i could not take the 17:20 bus to meet Stephanie, the girl i wanted to join for a week end in Lapland, because i did not have a phone number or real detailed address to find her, so i send her an e mail to say i could have arrive the same day, sent a message to my contact in Oulu to say i had passed the town, desperately looked for some host or people to meet in the city of Santa Claus (which is the marketing name for Rovaniemi), and went around in Roveniami in order to ask for the prices of the camping place (19 E for 1 tent and 1 person...) or the hotels (from 42 to 81 E...). Then as i was ending my prospective tour of the hotels, i recieved a text message from Stephanie suggesting me to contact a CS in town, which i did directly. I could then arrange a meeting with Sebastien and spend a nigh in 2 places, 1st part at his work place as he had to finish some article there, then at his place to sleep for a few hours.

This morning, i could reach Stephanie's woofing place, after 2 hours HHiking waiting time, and after the couple who took me helped me to find the address. So kind they were, speaking so little English but so ready to help!

This afternoon we did some work here, cleaning the potatoes and the car. Then eating and resting.

Tomorrow should be the big adventure... Will me reach Nord Cap and go back to Muonio for Tuersday evening ?
